Experience and Development
At the Academy St James our curriculum, ethos and approach are carefully designed to support the Personal Development of every pupil. We recognise that the primary years are a crucial time for children to develop a strong sense of identity, self-belief and aspirations for the future.
Our Christian values of Community, Peace, Respect, Forgiveness, Courage and Trust are embedded throughout all learning experiences. These values are brought to life both explicitly and implicitly, helping pupils to understand their meaning and apply them in their everyday lives. Alongside academic learning, we provide rich opportunities for children to grow into confident, compassionate and active global citizens.
Personal Development is central to everything we do at The Academy at St James Primary School and underpins our whole school ethos. Through a broad and balanced curriculum, as well as experiences beyond the classroom, we ensure that every child is supported to thrive.
